Commonly referred to as Lady Fournier, Vivienne is a highborn Elezen, known for her polished manner and unfailing grace. Raised in Ishgard’s upper echelons, she began her political career within the Holy See, rising swiftly through civic ranks before turning her focus to foreign diplomacy. Her work now centres on representing Ishgard abroad - strengthening alliances and supporting expatriates across the realm. Though ever warm and courteous, she is no mere ornament of court - Vivienne is strategic and very skilled in the art of conversation. She draws others in with ease, where she always listens and watches.A seasoned diplomat with a striking presence and an impeccable record, she remains a constant figure in political circles - offering aid and influence wherever it is most needed.

Personality

Gentle, poised, articulate, and impossibly composed, Vivienne carries herself with the confidence of a woman born to command attention. Every word is chosen with care and intention, every smile balanced just so. She excels in conversation: charming without flattery and always a step ahead in both thought and tone - for the world is no different from a chessboard. She is a superb conversationalist, witty and keenly attuned to the currents of any room. She is kindness refined. Courteous to all, warm in word and action, she has a gift for making others feel seen, often disarmingly so. Her compassion appears effortless, yet never naïve. She listens attentively whilst speaking little, and moves through the world as though she belongs wherever she stands.Though she wears her refinement plainly, Vivienne is far more than the sum of her etiquette. There is an intellect behind the charm. She is magnetic and entirely aware of the effect she has on others.

Appearance

Vivienne is a woman of arresting beauty - elegant, and impossible to overlook. Her pale blonde hair typically falls to her mid-back, often worn loose with a single braid at the crown. At times, it is drawn into a low ponytail or a neat, elegant bun. Her eyes are pale blue, with a gaze that feels both attentive and calm. Red lips contrast her fair skin, adding sharpness to an otherwise soft appearance. The noble bearing is unmistakable. Her skin is flawless, her hands unmarked by labour, and her presentation is always immaculate. She dresses elegantly - favouring tailored jackets, long coats, and structured dresses suited for her diplomatic work.

Occupation

Vivienne serves as a stateswoman and diplomat, representing Ishgard’s interests beyond its borders. Her political career began within the Holy See, where she rose swiftly through administrative and civic ranks, earning distinction for her dedication. In time, her focus shifted to foreign diplomacy where her talents flourished. She took particular interest in Garlean affairs during the Empire’s decline - an arena few dared tread. Whether advising on policies, aiding reconstruction efforts, or serving as liaison to post-imperial enclaves, Vivienne proved adept at navigating both fractured courts and fragile egos. Her work in this field continues, marked by an unusual deep familiarity of Garlean structure and custom.

RP Hooks

Common

  • Grace of the Pillars - From the cut of her coat to the curve of her courtesy, Vivienne is the very pinnacle of an Ishgardian lady. Highborn, eloquent, and composed to a fault - perfection embodied, almost suspiciously so...

  • Diplomatic Presence - Vivienne serves as a formal diplomat representing Ishgard under the Alliance banner. She is a regular figure at diplomatic events, courtly gatherings, and policy discussions. While often found handling interregional matters in Thanalan, she is just as frequently posted abroad - particularly where Garlean affairs are concerned. Those needing assistance find her a reliable point of contact

  • Post-War Aid - Following the fall of Garlemald, Vivienne was among the few Eorzean officials who actively supported aid missions to the region. Her ongoing involvement has given her a deeper understanding of Garlean needs, and she remains a constant presence where others have long withdrawn

  • Scholar of the Empire - Given her work in Garlean diplomacy, it’s no surprise Vivienne speaks the language - what surprises some is how well she speaks it. Her fluency is polished, idiomatic, and native in rhythm, with no trace of any accent

  • A Palate Most Perplexing - Refined, elegant, and possessed of a diplomatic tongue... until the matter of food arises. Vivienne's taste is, quite frankly, abominable. She favours burnt coffee, over-salted stews, and once described a boiled egg as “entirely too decadent.” Whether the result of sheer obliviousness, or culinary trauma best left unspoken, none can say

  • Culturally Curious - Despite her traditional upbringing, Vivienne is genuinely curious about the customs and beliefs of other regions. She often welcomes respectful conversations about foreign traditions and ways of life

Uncommon

  • Nightmares in Silence - Though composed by day, those staying near her may notice that Vivienne seldom sleeps well. Her nights are restless, disturbed by dreams she never speaks of. She always insists she’s fine - but something clearly lingers just beneath the surface

  • Ambidextrous - Though she favours her right hand in public, someone observant may catch her writing fluently with her left when she thinks no one is watching

Rare

  • The Paper Trail Ends Too Neatly - Those with access to records - legal, diplomatic, or noble - may notice that certain details of Vivienne's early history appear... too clean. Gaps smoothed over. Names omitted. Her education and titles are all in place, but the story around them is strangely quiet

  • No House Crest - For a noblewoman, she displays no sigil - no signet ring, no house embroidery, no family insignia. When asked, she speaks warmly of Ishgard, but never of any House by name

  • Devout in Principle - Vivienne speaks of the Fury with reverence and quotes scripture effortlessly. Her knowledge is impeccable - but to the keen-eyed, her faith feels rehearsed. The gestures are perfect, yet rarely personal

OOC

  • The Crystal Rule - All of my RP preferences can be found contained within The Crystal Rule - which I follow religiously

  • Setting & Tone Compatibility - Characters from overtly sci-fi, modern, or tech-heavy settings (S9) are not the setting I want or seek. I desire to remain grounded in medieval fantasy. If I wanted high-tech, I'd go play Cyberpunk instead. This isn’t personal - it’s simply a matter of tone and thematic fit

  • Lore Boundaries - Light lore-bending is fine in the name of creative storytelling. That said, overly exaggerated lore concepts - secret Ascians, Warriors of Light, demi-deities, improbable prodigies, and so much more - aren’t a good fit for the grounded narrative I aim to write

  • RP Style - I write in paragraph-style and enjoy RP with detail and thought. I don’t expect perfect prose, but I value effort. If replies are consistently short or lacking substance, I’ll likely drift away and not bother RPing with you again

  • Themes - I'm drawn to realism within fantasy - politics, inner conflict, tradition versus change, emotional growth, etc. I favour long-term connections with narrative development and consequences

  • Immersion & Consequences - IC actions have IC consequences. This helps stories feel alive and meaningful. If something major is on the horizon - I appreciate a quick OOC check-in to keep things smooth

  • No Romance or ERP - Vivienne is not available for romance or erotic roleplay, now or in the future. Out of respect for my IRL partner, I do not engage in such RP

  • IC ≠ OOC - Vivienne is a fictional character - I am not her, and she is not me. Please respect that boundary
